This is equivalent to:
– 15 to 20 combined-cycle gas power plants
– 6 Hoover Dams
– Even exceeding the peak electricity demand levels recorded in the histories of Portugal or Greece.

More than 90% of the battery storage facilities in California were built in the past five years, with the total capacity soaring from 1.3 gigawatts in 2020 to over 17 gigawatts.
